Confused about in-text citations and Works Cited lists?

Not sure how to organize a research paper?

Looking for Practical Processes for Writing Research Reports?

My own teens resist writing despite having a parent-teacher who is an award-winning author and writing teacher. So, I showed them how to use the rhetorical canon to complete their assignments while writing about something they enjoyed. They got it done with less stress!

Did you notice my rhyme?

University of Minnesota

My first term at college, I had to complete a 1-credit library research course, an independent study that taught me to use the university's library system.

The librarians provided worksheets for collecting citation information, but at some point I realized that although the worksheets were helpful, they were incomplete.

I hated going back the library to find the missing information!

Aristotle's School, which was called Academos

When I was a grad student teaching research writing for the Department of Rhetoric, I recreated those worksheets and taught students how to use them while they completed their literature review and other writing assignments.

And given the nerd that I am, I had the students use the style guide specific to their major, so I had to learn MLA, APA, Chicago, and CBE!

Holy Spirit

Now as a believer, I incorporate God into every writing process, my own as well as every class that I teach.

He wants us to be successful, and He gives wisdom to all who ask!
