Not sure how to write a thesis for an analytical essay or a report or another kind of persuasive essay?
Confused about MLA and APA in-text citations?
Looking for Practical Processes for Writing Clear, Concise, Complete, Correct, Compelling Essays?
We can use the classical approach to writing essays taught in The Lost Tools of Writing to craft any essay or report or even a speech!
That is what the Apostle Paul and the Church Fathers did!
My first term at college, I had to complete a 1-credit library research course, an independent study that taught me to use the university's library system.
The librarians provided worksheets for collecting citation information, but at some point I realized that although the worksheets were helpful, they were incomplete.
I hated going back the library to find the missing information!
When I was a grad student teaching research writing for the Department of Rhetoric, I recreated those worksheets and taught students how to use them while they completed their literature review and other writing assignments.
And given the nerd that I am, I had the students use the style guide specific to their major, so I had to learn MLA, APA, Chicago, and CBE!
Now as a believer, I incorporate God into every writing process, my own as well as every class that I teach.
He wants us to be successful, and He gives wisdom to all who ask!
