Award-winning author, speaker, and a Titus 2 woman for this generation, exhorts women to reclaim their God-ordained womanhood and discover their true created feminine identity.
Candy Thompson, award-winning author and speaker, octogenarian, and a Titus 2 woman, exhorts women to reclaim their created purpose as strong ezers or helpers comparable to their husbands, blessed as proud bearers and nurturers of the next generation, irreplaceable as co-laborers in God’s design for marriage and family.
Candy experienced miscarrage while in college, married an abusive man, had 3 coerced abortions, then became a single mom. Her marriage today to Vernon is nothing like her first.
Candy’s calling is to speak and write the truth about abortion, feminism, and marriage, chronicling her miraculous journey while exhorting women to reclaim their womanhood and femininity as powerful women armed with the Word and Spirit of God. She ministers in healing, deliverance, and prophecy to women.

A graduate of the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor of Science in Science Teaching, Candy taught in the public schools in Alaska, North Carolina, Georgia, Colorado, and California. As a student of the Word, Candy attended Destiny Bible School, graduating as valedictorian. She has served as a children’s minister, a missionary in Ukraine, and a Bible study leader in her church.
Candy received the award for the best prose non-published essay at the 2015 Colorado Christian Writers Conference and authored weekly columns in the Fremont County Crusader. She published her first book, Liberated by Love: Finding Truth Beyond Lies and Pain in 2021.
Candy and her husband, Vernon, partner in ministering to couples in marriage groups and serve on the prayer team in their church. Candy has also led abortion healing groups. Vernon is retired from his startup propane business, and they now live on the 150 acres where Vernon was born in rural Oklahoma. Candy enjoys cooking and entertaining in her farmhouse, traveling with Vernon, talking with friends, studying the Bible, and spending time with family.

Feminine, Not Feminist
In the 1960s, Candy embraced feminism only to face abuse, addiction, coerced abortions, betrayal, and illness within a destructive marriage. After divorce, she fought to rebuild her life as a single mother but was stricken with an uncurable disease. Then her prince charming seemingly rescued her, but she struggled to follow his lead rather than insisting on her feminist way. This memoir chronicles one woman’s struggle, resilience, faith, and her search for healing and a loving marriage.

After three abortions, 'Feminine, Not Feminist' author Candy Thompson says the ideology she embraced 'pitted' women against men. Now, she's reclaiming the memory of her lost children and urging women to question the beliefs she once held.
